Update

This last month has been busy! Our last day in our apartment was scheduled as Saturday January 16th and due to "escrow fun" we didn't get our house keys until Friday night. It was a pretty close call, but we made it! We've been here a week and have made some progress on making the place comfortable.

The nearly finished hallway. This is before we pulled all the nails and staples today.

The windows were glued, yes glued shut. Skyler finally got them open in what will be Melody's room. All that fresh air sure is bad for you!!

Under the right conditions, human and animal fat will slowly turn into soap. I've seen it, I've excavated it, and I've smelled it. When I opened the cabinets above the oven I was instantly reminded of those excavations. Debbie was nice enough to helped me clean all the cabinets so they are useable.

I've also started to waddle.
